Description:
Bright, dark red. Terrific crushed-rock lift to the red berry and floral aromas. Suave and fine-grained on entry, then larger-scaled on the back half, opening out and building on the finish. Tannins are dusty and broad. Order from the Largest & Most Trusted Premium Spirits Marketplace! , Wine Advocate: It has an engaging bouquet, very open and inviting with lively red cherry, wild strawberry and blood orange aromas that feel precise and delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a crisp line of acidity, a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the finish., Allen Meadows: An appealingly perfumed nose is composed by notes of wood, spice, red currant and soft spice nuances. I like the density of the decidedly powerful and muscular middle weight plus flavors that possess fine volume before concluding in a dusty, saline and impressively persistent finale. NOTICE: Many other small liquor store sites may end up cancelling your order due to the high demand, unavailability or inaccurate inventory counts. We have partnerships consisting of a large network of licensed retailers from within the United States, Europe and across the world ensuring orders are fulfilled. Tannins are dusty and broad. Reviews: Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair is a highly regarded Pinot Noir producer located in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the C'te de Nuits subregion of Burgundy, France. The Marey and Liger-Belair families have been involved with the vineyards, sale, and trade of Burgundian wines for well over a century, but it was not until 2001 that Thibault Liger-Belair created Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair to exploit the family's historic and noteworthy vineyards. Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair's portfolio of domaine wines (vineyards owned by the estate) covers ten wines from six different appellations, including Vosne-Roman'e (the Richebourg Grand Cru and Aux R'as), Vougeot (the Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot), Nuits-Saint-Georges (Premier Cru Les Saint-Georges and the La Charmotte site) and Gevrey-Chambertin (the La Croix des Champs vineyard). The estate also makes a Bourgogne Aligot'. In all, the domaine owns around seven hectares (17 acres) of vineyard land. It also makes wines from a range of grower vineyards in the appellations of Corton, Aloxe-Corton, and Chambolle-Musigny, and Moulin-'-Vent in Beaujolais. The domaine vineyards are organically certified and biodynamically farmed. Grapes are hand harvested and sorted on arrival in the chai and are generally destemmed with minimal pumpovers/pigeage during fermentation. However, Thibault Liger-Belair's vinification process can differ from year to year, to year. The wines tend to be aged on their lees in barrel for at least one year and are never fined or filtered. The Liger-Belair family has a long and storied history in Burgundy and Thibault is the cousin of the Vicomte Liger-Belair in Vosne-Roman'e. In 2001 (a year after the Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair was founded), Thibault established his domaine in Nuits-Saint-Georges and took back family vineyards that had previously been leased or sharecropped to other estates.
