The history of Ferrer Wines goes back five generations, when Francesc Sala Ferr' immersed himself in the world of wine in 1861. At that time, on the family estate of Can Sala, he was the pioneer in using a state-of-the-art press. technology from France, which is still preserved. This was the beginning of our commitment to technology, innovation and excellence in the production of top quality Spanish wines and cavas. Francesc would pass on the legacy of the business to his son Joan Sala, who in turn would pass it on to his daughter Dolors Sala and her husband Pere Ferrer Bosch, known as 'El Freixenet'. The three undertook a bold adventure in the world of sparkling wines, giving life to Freixenet in 1914. Since then, this prestigious wine company has become a leader in the wine sector. Driven by their entrepreneurial spirit, the subsequent generation, led by Jos' Ferrer Sala, landed in the most prestigious Spanish and world Denominations of Origin such as Argentina, California, France or Australia. Ferrer Wines arises as a result of the acquisition by Pedro Ferrer Noguer of four emblematic wineries belonging to the Freixenet Group: Valdub'n (Ribera del Duero), Orube (Rioja Alavesa), Vionta (R'as Baixas) and Finca Ferrer (Valle de Uco ' Argentina) . But that's not all, Ferrer Wines stands out for the production of its renowned organic cavas: Cavas Hill (acquired in 2020), as well as for the production of wines in the prestigious designations of origin of Rueda, Monterrei, Priorat and Monsant, and also in the Cachapoal Valley in Chile. As well as high-quality Galician liqueurs and innovative flavors, Habelas Hailas . Today, Pedro Ferrer Noguer, fourth generation of the family, son of Jos' Ferrer, has assumed the legacy and has presided over the Ferrer Wines Group since its acquisition. Pedro is a man with two souls, two passions that fill him with pride. On the one hand, there is the global success of Freixenet achieved thanks to decades of work and more recently as a result of its alliance with Henkell. On the other hand, Pedro wants to convey his love and respect for the land by making wines that express the essence of variety, terroir and climate. This is how Ferrer Wines was born, a reflection of his most authentic soul. His vast experience and deep knowledge in the world of wine have been fundamental to carrying out the production of very high quality wines in our group, always maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
