From the A Mari gin range comes the Indian Ocean Gin, which features a selection of botanicals distilled with ocean water, then infused with yet more botanicals post distillation. In the mix you'll find notes of lime, turmeric, pink peppercorn, black tea, clove, ginger and more. Size: 500ML Proof: 86 (43% ABV) Origin: South Africa Distillery: Hope Distillery A Mari gin is unusual in that it distils water taken straight from oceans. This version, made with water from the Indian Ocean, uses fragrant botanicals from the east coast of Africa, including Swahili lime leaves, turmeric and Madagascan pink peppercorns in the distillation process. Once distilled, the gin is then further infused with Chai, Kenyan black tea, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper. Serve this spicy and rich gin with Indian tonic and a slice of orange rind. Nose: Aroma is very pleasant. Palate: Intensely herbaceous, with juniper at the core. Powerful black tea and ginger heat, supported by subtle sweetness of lime. Finish: The finish is surprisingly long and warming.
