Size: 700ML Proof: 82 (41%ABV) Origin: Scotland Distillery: Black Thistle This gin from Black Thistle boasts a lip-smacking combination of rhubarb and cherry, alongside the familiar flavours of juniper at its heart. Not only is it tasty, it's also glittery and shimmery, which makes for some rather snazzy-looking cocktails and mixed dirnks! Nose: Delicate and impressive depth on the nose. Palate: Bold flavours of rhubarb and cherry. Finish: Finish is very smooth and long. Based in Brechin, Angus, Black Thistle Distilleries was established in 2018, placing an emphasis on local Scottish botanicals and shimmering spirits. The distillery is home to a pair of 850-litre Carl stills. Its portfolio began with a range of gins, the first of which was launched in 2019, eventually expanding into vodka, and most recently, a rum. All of its spirits are brought down to bottling strength with double-filtered Scottish water before being hand-bottled at the distillery.
