Kirkjuvagr Arkh-Angell Gin (pronounced 'kirk-u-vaar') is distilled in-house at The Orkney Distillery, launched by Orkney residents Stephen and Aly Kemp in 2016. Size: 700ML Proof: 114 (57% ABV) Origin: Scotland Distillery: Orkney Distilling A navy-strength edition of Kirkjuvagr Orkney Gin (or "Storm Strength", as they refer to it as). While the name Arkh-Angell may simply sound rad to you and I, it's actually a reference to the local variety of Norwegian angelica used in the gin's production - Archangelica. It's just simply a coincidence that it sounds rad. Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming. Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end. Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish.
