It boasts 18 botanicals including gorse, hawthorn, rowan berries, chamomile, navelwort and nettle. You may have thought the gin was merely named as such to keep the maritime theme, though it's also named after the Red Admiral butterfly which feeds on Dartmoor nettles, with 1% from each bottle donated by the Dartmoor Distillery to a local butterfly conservation project. Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming. Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth. Finish: Clean,crisp and smooth.
